Copa airlines infant reservation policy

Children from 0 to 23 months are considered babies and must always be accompanied by an adult. A newborn does not take a seat.

  • If you're traveling with more than one infant, you need to purchase an extra seat.
  • If you want your newborn to have a seat on the aircraft, you must purchase a ticket at the correct rate for the route you want to fly. The airline does not transport:
  • Newborn babies under the age of seven days.
  • Babies who require an incubator.

Fees

  • Fees for domestic flights in Panama.
  • No cost is imposed.
  • International flights
  • If the infant travels on the adult's lap, the price may be equivalent to 10% of the adult's stated fare plus any applicable taxes.*

If the newborn takes a seat, the standard discount for children will be applied in accordance with the guidelines for the applicable ticket on the route flown. (*) Only one infant-in-arms will be permitted per adult.

Infant things

Copa Airlines recognizes some newborn products as carry-on luggage as long as their dimensions do not exceed those allowed for carry-on luggage and they fit in the overhead bin or beneath the seat in front of you.

You can bring one (1) of each of the following three (3) items:

A diaper bag.

A kid seat (if you've purchased one for your infant) Approved Child Seat Specifications:

  1. The seat must be suitable for usage in vehicles and airplanes.
  2. The accompanying adult bears responsibility for:
  3. The seat performs well and is securely fastened to the airplane seat.
  4. The youngster does not exceed the seat constraints and is properly strapped in the seat.

Large strollers must be checked at the ticket desk and transported in the aircraft's hold as checked baggage.

Note: If you check the newborn goods as luggage, you will be charged all extra baggage costs based on their size and weight.
