Earning Spirit Airlines Points
Spirit works on a revenue-based structure, meaning you'll earn and redeem Free Spirit points based on the ticket price, minus taxes and fees, rather than the distance flown.
There are two sorts of points in Free Spirit: redeemable points and Status Qualifying Points (SQPs). You'll earn redeemable points faster than SQPs, which are used to reserve award tickets. SQPs cannot be redeemed and are used to mark your progress to elite level.
Flying with Spirit Airlines
Points are earned based on the pre-tax cost of travel and additional "À La Smarte" choices such as seat selection and luggage costs, not the number of flights taken.
You'll earn SQPs at a rate of one point for every dollar spent on flights and other costs.
However, redeemable Spirit points are gained dependent on your elite rank.
Regular: 6 points per dollar of airfare, 12 points for choices.
Silver: 8 points per dollar of flight, 16 points for choices.
Gold: 10 points every dollar of airfare, 20 points for choices.

Pooling your Spirit Points
You may now pool your Spirit points with up to eight other people, however a pool can only be formed by someone with Silver or Gold elite rank or a Free Spirit card.
Any Free Spirit member can join a pool, and members share their points earned and redeemed.
Using the Free Spirit Credit Card
Spirit Airlines does not work with any of the major transferable point systems, including American Express Membership Rewards, Chase Ultimate Rewards, Citi ThankYou Rewards, Capital One Rewards, or Marriott Bonvoy.

Free Spirit Travel Mastercard
The Free Spirit® Travel Mastercard has no annual fee and offers a 10,000-point welcome bonus after spending $500 on purchases during the first 90 days after account activation. And if you spend $10,000 in a year, you'll receive an extra 5,000 bonus points on your yearly anniversary.
Every dollar spent with Spirit Airlines receives two redeemable points, while all other purchases earn one point.
Free Spirit Travels More Mastercard
In addition to existing World Elite Mastercard advantages, the Free Spirit® Travel More Mastercard® offers a $79 annual fee (which is waived the first year) and a welcome bonus of 40,000 points and a $100 Companion Flight Voucher after spending $1,000 on purchases within the first 90 days of account activation.
If you spend $5,000 every year, you will receive a fresh $100 Companion Flight Voucher on your yearly anniversary. The card gets three redeemable points for every dollar spent with Spirit Airlines, two points for eating and grocery, and one point for all other expenditures.
Spirit Airlines Points Expiration Policy
Spirit Airlines points do not expire if earned or redeemed once every twelve months. And if you have a Free Spirit credit card, your points will not expire while the card is active.
Redeeming Spirit Points
You may redeem points on any Spirit Airlines flight, with no capacity limits or blackout periods. The amount of points necessary for an award ticket depends on the normal ticket price. When the ticket price is low, you will require less points.
