Many people believe that you must be affluent in order to travel, but I disagree. This essay will teach you how to acquire very cheap tickets on Frontier Airlines without breaking the bank, so you, too, may travel with your family.
On the journey described below, we happened to find across $14 fares on Frontier. When I received an email notice for tickets to Orlando for $14 apiece on Frontier Airlines, I purchased them right away. This wouldn't be our first Frontier Airlines journey, so I knew what to anticipate and planned appropriately.
Frontier Airlines is classified as a low-cost carrier, therefore they generate money by charging their consumers for anything and anything. They charge a price to select seats, a cost for carry-on and checked-in luggage, and a fee for any in-flight snacks or meals. The key to traveling on a low-cost carrier is determining how to successfully avoid these expenses.
Frontier Airlines Deals
I signed up for numerous airline email notifications, so when the Frontier bargain notice for $14 tickets arrived, I booked them right away. Most of these discounts sell out fast, so make sure to get tickets as soon as you receive the email alert.
The tickets for our Frontier Airlines flight were exactly $14 apiece, including taxes, and I ordered them directly from the Frontier Airlines website. As you can see here, one-way tickets for all six cost $85.20.
When flying with Frontier Airlines, we merely had to pay taxes. That is comparable to a full tank of gas in my car for a short road trip.
Where Have We Traveled on Frontier Airlines?
We enjoy flying Frontier Airlines flights, and here is a list of all the great places we've seen.
Frontier Airlines Check-In
You may check in for your Frontier flight online or through the Frontier check-in section of the mobile app 24 hours before departure. If you intend to check in with Frontier Airlines and have luggage, you may purchase it online before your trip and then pay the luggage costs at the Frontier Airlines counter.
The Frontier check-in procedure is straightforward and uncomplicated. Frontier offers online, app-based, and in-person check-in. When you complete your Frontier check in online or using the Frontier mobile app, you can purchase a seat assignment, priority boarding, bags, and other options.
We normally check in using the Frontier mobile app, and I do not buy any extras. Their smartphone check-in makes traveling with Frontier so simple.
Frontier Airlines' Flight Seat Assignment
This airline charges between $10 and $20 to pick each seat, so I bypassed this step when I bought our tickets. If I had to pick our seats, the price of our tickets would have doubled, and my objective was to spend no more than $14.
Many people worry about this, especially when traveling with children, and I understand why. Children have occasionally been allocated different seats from their parents on flights, which can be troublesome, especially for small children.
In such cases, I don't expect others to relocate so that I may sit with my children, especially when those individuals may have paid to pick their seats, which is really unjust. However, I was unconcerned and accepted the risk of not spending more in seat selection. We were fortunate to be given seats adjacent to each other when flying Frontier Airlines.
Frontier Airlines' Car Seat and Stroller Policy
When flying with Frontier Airlines, you may check in your stroller and/or car seat for free. We did not travel with a stroller, but we did bring the kids' car seats.
The kids utilized the GoGo Babyz and EvenFlo Maestro Car Seats, which allowed them to easily transport their own car seats around the airport. We also traveled on their scooters and were able to check everything in at the gate.
We utilized a Car Seat Gate Check Bag to store the car seat, Gogo Babyz TravelMate, and scooter. When we landed in Florida, all of their baggage was waiting at the gate.
We also used the Safety First My Guide on a prior Frontier trip, where Aiden sat in his car seat.
So you may do that as well if you want.
If your children have passed the car seat stage, Frontier now permits parents to utilize booster seats throughout the trip. Just not during takeoff or landing.
Comfort During A Frontier Airlines Flight
Frontier Airlines' chairs do not recline, so keep this in mind for long flights if you have a poor back and must recline your seat. However, the seats are roomy, and we had no problems with legroom. The seat back tray is rather small, but that didn't bother us because we didn't use it very much.
Frontier does not provide first-class or comfortable seats. We had a red eye journey and there were no blankets on the plane, so bring something for the kids to wrap themselves with while flying Frontier Airlines.
I also bring a light blanket when I travel, but I accidentally checked it with the car seats, so the kids used their jackets as cushions and my jacket to cover themselves.
Also, a neck cushion is essential for comfort. I use the TRTL neck pillow, which is similar to a neck brace, and let me tell you, it works!
Frontier Airlines In-Flight Service
Frontier Airlines charges for everything on the aircraft except water. It's also worth noting that they only accept credit and debit cards for snacks, not cash. I brought snacks and meals for the kids to eat, so we didn't have to buy anything throughout our flight. I had no idea they gave free water, so I packed an empty water bottle and refilled it at the airport before our trip.
Most airports I've visited have water refilling facilities, which I enjoy. When packing a water bottle for children, ensure it does not have a straw since air pressure will cause it to spill when opened.
Frontier Airlines Flight Entertainment
Frontier Airlines does not provide in-flight entertainment, and their flights do not include internet access. Make it important to plan ahead of time, especially if you are traveling Frontier Airlines with children.
Make sure you have plenty to keep them busy so that the flight runs well. If your children have a tablet, make sure they download offline applications, TV episodes, and other content.
If you're flying without a tablet, bring plenty of toys for the kids. Check out my post "How To Keep Your Kids Entertained On Flights" for all of the information you need. We had a red-eye flight, so the kids slept the entire time.
